10/04/2018........This website and the blogs therein are closing down shortly (within the next two months) We would like to thank all those who engaged with the written content and those who perused the visual content. Especially those who wrote to us, sharing experiences, giving praise and suggestions, corrections. constructive criticism etc.
This included authors of international renown, curators of the highest standing, rock stars and cultural icons from home and abroad, and just old time 'faces' of every persuasion.
Our reasons for closing down are myriad and include, other than feeling that we achieved what we set out to do - plain old boredom - one important factor was the sad demise of two of our artist stars. another reason was dissatisfaction with the platform providers (Weebly) and their efforts to monetise every last vestige of creativity to the point where they would no longer let us edit our site the way we wanted. All this is to say nothing of the sense that we did indeed create an alternate vision of the London counter culture, one which accepted hard drug use without shame or the need for redemption, and revitalised the position of some wonderful characters who the present cultural mafia seem intent on airbrushing out of a history. a mafia which exists mainly to line the pockets of an ever more institutionalised clique of stale old hands - like? Well they know who they are - we are not letting them off the hook - just regrouping to give vent to projects befitting the ever harsher times, we the - libertines - iconoclasts, addicts without shame, subscribers to the black poppy, are facing.
We would like to especially thank for their contributions, Wow von Dahlenberg, Ursula Bayer, Super 'H' Crude, Jimmy Willis, Erich von Dahlenberg, Rod Packer, Vince 'O' William, Erica Baj, Chris Villa, irene Lafferty, Cristina Marignoli.
ANYONE WISHING TO REMAIN IN CONTACT AFTER THE WEBSITE IS GONE. wowvondahlenberg@icloud.com
